About the Future

So, been a while, huh? Nearly a year since the last announcement, even. A lot has happened in all that time, and while we have made substantial progress on the game and have it in a playable state internally, I have to be honest. The development of Devorar shall be going on an indefinite hiatus. This is due to a mix of factors, but most importantly of them, it's been harder to make than we expected. Amongst our own real life responsibilities, emerging new interests, and difficulty supporting Devorar's ongoing work, it's time we put the game aside.

This isn't the end. We may return to making the game in the future with a fresh perspective and be ready to tackle the challenges. But for now, we're shifting our focus onto other things and cannot promise anything new soon.

But, we do have other things we can offer you.

First and foremost, Salem and I are writers. Artists, too. We've spent a long time on a science fantasy universe of our own that Devorar was going to take place in (and will when we return to development). We call it Where We All Sleep. Being the D&D nerds that we are, it's focused on usage with D&D 5e, and involves a great many races, worlds, and lore to call our own. Moreover, it has our own takes on cosmology, namely dark energy and vacuum decay. It also is where we have our own take on death, where instead of becoming a spirit of sorts, you become a monstrous dark creature known by many as a cryptid. It's where we've put much of our creative energy and are, currently, taking strides in making material for. We will soon be making an introductory reading for those interested.

We also host D&D 5e games on the regular involving this universe of ours! The campaign we have currently is Fragments in Time, where our players tackle a mission through wildspace to uncover the mysteries of strange temporal anomalies. If you'd like to see us play (or just have a comfortable place to chatter), we have a Discord server! You'll also find our other special interests in there too. And yes, vore is indeed welcome.

Now, with all that out of the way, I hope you've all appreciated our journey so far, even if we're taking a break here to shift gears onto other things.

See you soon.
