December Dev Update

Hello, happy holidays, and a happy new year to everyone! Looks like another month has come and gone, and a lot has happened, but for this dev log, we're going to keep things concise. There're a few new things to cover.

First and foremost, we've started a Trello! What we're going to use this for is describe everything that's currently being worked on, right down to the details. While it is going to be rudimentary for now, we'll be expanding upon this over time and doing more than just lay out to-dos. If you're interested, you may see it here!

And speaking of what's being worked on, the past month we've been taking a little bit of a break for the holidays. In-between however, due to some hindsight and arising needs, we've also been doing a lot of systemic overhauls from underneath. This namely concerns how emotes are drawn, how position is rendered, and the vore system. Without getting too deep into the technicals, essentially, we've made many sweeping workflow improvements that will make development a little smoother going into January.

What this work also means is that the White Void is essentially complete from a design and systems standpoint. All that remains is further bug fixing, assets, and peppering in all the leftover emotes and interactions. Lastly, we have some new additions we'll be implementing, which include an in-game vocabulary list, more robust settings, and so forth. As of now it's uncertain how many of these features we're wanting will make it in the patch right from the start, but we'll see how it plays out.

We hope the wait will be worth it when we're finished to the nitty gritty. Thank you for all of your patience, and see you in 2023!
